Celebrating 75 Years of Coventry Scaffolding

To mark their 75th year in service, we were delighted to hand over a brand-new Mercedes-Benz Actros 1824 L 4x2 to Coventry Scaffolding - a trusted family-run business working with leading construction and restoration companies on some of London’s most prestigious buildings.
In recognition of this milestone, the new truck carries a special commemorative livery. Alongside the 75th anniversary logo, the cab features an image of one of the company’s very first trucks - a striking reminder of their journey since 1950. The 24ft dropside body also proudly displays the royal badge, which Coventry Scaffolding has held proudly for over a decade.
Reflecting on the fleet, Director Perry Hanifan said:
“We’ve built a striking fleet of vehicles that perfectly complements the fantastic work our team of highly skilled scaffolders delivers every day.”

He went on to describe the company’s long-standing relationship with us:

The Actros was supplied through the SAGA Truck & Van stock programme, with paintwork completed in-house by our bodyshop team. This allowed the truck to be finished in Coventry Scaffolding’s colours, perfectly matching the rest of their fleet, while significantly reducing lead times as it was built and painted ready to go.
When asked why Mercedes-Benz was chosen for their fleet, Perry added:
“I’ve always driven a Mercedes myself and firmly believe they are the best manufacturer in the market. So, when the opportunity arose to add Mercedes-Benz to our commercial fleet, it was an easy decision. It’s proved to be a fantastic choice - the trucks not only perform brilliantly but also look exceptional, regularly attracting admiring comments. We’re proud to display the three-pointed star on our vehicles, especially when they’re working on prestigious sites such as Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace.”
