Enhanced Safety
Built with safety at its core, the new Citan van comes with an expanded range of driver assistance programs and safety features as standard.
- Active Brake Assist - Helping to prevent accidents with vehicles and pedestrians in front of the vehicle using an innovative sensor hidden behind the front grille.
- Active Lane Keep Assist - This function can help to avoid accidents caused by vehicles unintentionally leaving its lane. The system can detect when a vehicle starts to drift from their lane and will warn the driver by means of vibration on the steering wheel.
- Traffic-Sign Assist - Displays the prescribed maximum speed limit on the dashboard to aid the driver in regulating themselves and therefore feel more comfortable at the wheel.
- Hill-Start Assist - Temporarily prevents the vehicle from rolling backwards when moving off from steep gradients.
- Attention Assist - This system will give the driver a timely warning when it detects fatigue or microsleep. A display will appear in the instrument cluster between the rev counter and speedometer.
