Motus Truck & Van Supply 11 Mercedes-Benz eActros Trucks to HIVED

Today, we are thrilled to announce that HIVED has placed their first fleet order with Daimler Truck UK as they expand the UK’s only end-to-end electric delivery network, covering middle and final mile, with the Mercedes-Benz eActros, to revolutionise modern-day deliveries.
As part of this expansion, HIVED have ordered 11 Mercedes-Benz eActros trucks (9 x eActros 600, 2 x eActros 400) from Rob Dale, Fleet Sales Manager at Motus Truck & Van. The trucks will operate across their nationwide middle-mile network, collecting from retailer warehouses for delivery to end customers.
The e-Actros 600 is the perfect choice for their middle mile network as its large battery capacity of over 600 kWh1 means it can travel up to 3102 miles on a single charge. HIVED has plans to install megawatt chargers, a rarity for the U.K. charging infrastructure, in the next year at our hubs in East and West London, the Midlands and Manchester. These megawatt chargers allow for the eActros 600 to charge from 20 to 80% in just 30 minutes, and in effect level the playing field between diesel and electric HGVs.
