SAGA Truck and Van

At SAGA Truck and Van, we now operate ten well-established commercial vehicle sales and service sites in the south-east of England, and one bodyshop. Owned by RCM, a European distributor of multiple brands including Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Lexus, Porsche and Bénéteau, the UK operations are formed from two separate established businesses: Sparshatt Truck and Van and Motus Truck & Van.

We follow one simple mission - to ensure our customers always receive the best possible care, wherever they are in their journeys. Company History
1980's

S&B Commercials officialy opened their doors with the Welham Green depot. Meanwhile, Sparshatts of Kent has already been in business sinc 1974.
1990's

Orwell Truck & Van (Orwell Trucks Limited) was founded in 1991 after the incorporation of Bideawhile Ninety Limited.
2000's

Sparshatts of Kent grew with the acquisition of Kent and Sussex Trucks in 2006. The Sparshatt brand grew, and another site opened in Tonbridge.
2018

A new era dawns, Sparshatts of Kent has new owners and the new company name is Sparshatt Truck & Van. A similar story is unfolding in the east-of-england with the coming together of Orwell Truck & Van and S&B Commercials.
2021

Motus UK Consolidates S&B Commercials and Orwell Truck & Van with a new business name - Motus Truck & Van.
2024

On May 2024 Sparshatt Truck and Van became SAGA. Part of the RCM SAGA group in France.
2025

In March 2025, RCM SAGA expands its UK presence with the strategic acquisition of Motus Truck & Van. This makes SAGA Truck and Van the largest partnership with Mercedes-Benz Truck, Mercedes-Benz Van and FUSO in the UK.
